Still monolithic, this opaque purple-colored wine possesses an earthy, cassis-scented nose that has not begun to reveal any complexity or nuances. Full-bodied, with high tannin, this closed, thick, unctuous, typical Grange will reward those with patience. Give it 5-6 more years of cellaring.
Note: The production figures shown are for twelve bottle cases unless otherwise noted.

Medium-deep crimson. Fragrant chinotto, stone fruit, apricot aromas with praline notes. Lovely inky deep Grange with chinotto, apricot, espresso, dark chocolate flavours, and lovely slinky tannins. Chocolaty firm at the finish with pronounced acidity. Still relatively firm and tight. Will hold, but drink now to enjoy the charming fruit complexity. 13.5% alc "Liquorice allsorts, fruit mince pies, some mace and coriander seed. Some Chinese barbecue pork. Quince and quandong dryness." (NR) 94% Shiraz, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon Kalimna Vineyard (Barossa Valley), Barossa Valley, Padthaway, and McLaren Vale
