Medium-deep crimson. Espresso, flinty, meaty, hint vanilla, crème brûlée aromas with star anise notes. "The fragrance of gently glowing embers, smoke and charcuterie." (NB) Supple and sweet with ample earthy, leather, spice, smoky crème brûlée flavours, fine slinky textures, very good mid-palate volume and well- integrated acidity. A chalky touch leafy/grippy finish with persistent liquorice/hint minty notes.
