Drink 2002–2002
Production: 3,530 cases Blend: 94% Shiraz/6% Cabernet Sauvignon
Of the oldest vintages, the 1967 possessed the richest, sweetest, most seductive fruit. The nose offered up intensely fragrant, candied, sweet berry/cedar/spicy aromas. Opulently-textured, with gobs of red and black fruits, low acidity, and no tannin, this fully mature, richly fruity, medium to full-bodied Grange Hermitage is a less muscular example of the early years.
Note: The production figures shown are for twelve bottle cases unless otherwise noted.

Drink: Rare. Drink now - past
Deep crimson. Beautiful complex wine with intense wax polish, leather, smoky dark chocolate, molasses, apricot, touch farmyard earthy notes. Generous dark chocolate, apricot. Blackberry pastille, rhubarb, wax polish flavours, fine loose-knit chalky tannins and beautifully integrated fresh acidity. Finishes Claret-firm. "A buoyant, bouncy and energetic wine with no dip in the middle and the tannins are crisp, challenging, and deliciously rustic." (MJ) Just beyond its peak of development. 12.7% alc 94% Shiraz, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon Kalimna Vineyard (Barossa Valley), Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Magill Estate (Adelaide) Won the Jimmy Watson Trophy in 1968, the second time in three years. Released as Bin 95 (and also Bin 74).
