Drink 2005–2015
The 1997 Stonewell Shiraz boasts an impressively saturated ruby/purple color, but was closed both aromatically and on the palate. It possesses excellent to outstanding concentration as well as medium to full body, but the tannin and acidity currently dominate. My instincts suggest this is an excellent, but not outstanding wine. Anticipated maturity:2005-2015.
