Drink 2022–2030
Charvin's 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape doesn't look like the strongest vintage ever at this estate, but perhaps it will fill out and deepen with a bit more time in the bottle (this is a wine that often does). A tank-aged blend of 82% Grenache, 5% each Mourvèdre and Syrah and 4% each Counoise and Vaccarèse, it's slightly lifted and peppery, with hints of cherries and raspberries on the nose, then medium to full-bodied on the palate.
