Drink 2007–2020
The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Sandown Vineyard was closed the day I tasted it, but it revealed enormous concentration as well as plenty of potential. The black/purple color is followed by copious quantities of tobacco, cassis, earth, and wood characteristics. Made in a full-bodied, powerful style meant for long-term cellaring, it will be at its best between 2007-2020.
