BROKENWOOD Graveyard Shiraz 2009 | Hunter Valley | 1 BOTTLE | AU$230-250 | AUD $ 120 |

Drink 2024–2034
The 2009 Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz, at 15 years of age today, leads with dark chocolate-coated licorice, star anise and cardamom, blackcurrant pastille, graphite and black tea. The wine is all crushed rocks and dried rose petals, and it has a bloody, mineral quality to the finish that makes it feel much lighter than it initially lets on. This is maturing now but has a long way to go in front of it. The oak is evident through the middle palate and the aromas, but I believe it won't be in another five years from now. This is a lovely wine. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
