Deep crimson. Classical blackcurrant, chinotto, vanilla aromas with some sage notes. Richly concentrated wine with ample cassis, mulberry, chinotto flavours, lovely fine slinky/chalky textures, attractive mid-palate volume and well-integrated acidity. Finishes firm and tight. "A darker fruit personality than the 2008. A fluent, well-balanced, and fine-grained palate with a long, sustained, appetising and gently purifying finish." (NB) A classical Coonawarra Claret style. Regarded as one of Australia's top Cabernets of the vintage. 14.5% alc "A plush and alluring wine with no visible seams. Polished fruit in a dark red realm. Cedar and supple leather. Tightly etched acidity and finely granulated tannins." (NR) Block 10 100% new French oak hogsheads.
