Robert Parker Score: (93-94) points

Reviewer: Yohan Castaing — February 2025 Week 213 Feb 2025

Drink 2034–2044

The 2022 Cote Rotie Chateau d'Ampuis is demonstratively oaky at this stage, exuding a somber character marked by aromas of bay leaf, coniferous forest, pencil lead and ripe dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, it's ample and structured, with a concentrated, ripe profile supported by a robust chassis of tannin and finishes long and powerful, infused with notes of eucalyptus and oak. This muscular and dense wine will benefit from cellaring for 7-8 years and should continue to develop beautifully over the following decade.
