Drink 2024–2051
The 2021 Great Western Shiraz Bin No 0 is, as usual, a vibrant, pure, silky wine with lashings of red fruits and exotic spices: star anise, shaved fennel, cassis, raspberry, liquorice and more. This wine is a lovely wine to drink now, due to the aforementioned, but it represents a savvy cellaring proposition as well. Earlier this year at the estate, I was fortunate enough to taste back to the 1967 vintage, and the wines, with age, adopt a profound, ethereal quality. And these days, you won't have to contend with the corks. Highly recommended. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
