SALTRAM The Eighth Maker Shiraz 2004 | Barossa Valley | 1 BOTTLE | AU$150-160 | AUD $ 55 |
Robert Parker Score: 92+ points
Reviewer: Jay S Miller — 18622 Dec 2009
Drink 2014–2029
The 2004 The Eighth Maker Shiraz was aged for 20 months in 96% new French oak. Purple-colored, it offers up an expressive nose of Asian spices, menthol, game, black currant, blueberry, and chocolate. Remarkably light on its feet given its power, this velvety textured Shiraz has loads of succulent blue and black fruits, terrific concentration and depth, and 5-7 years of aging potential. It will offer a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2029.
