Drink 2012–2022

The 2007 Camartina, a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese, is relatively understated in this vintage. Crushed flowers, berries and subtle French oak are woven together in a fine, silky fabric of notable class. The 2007 possesses terrific clarity and focus, if not quite the richness of the finest vintages. My impression is this will be a relatively early-drinking Camartina. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022.

Querciabella has been on a roll over the last few years. I can’t say enough good things about these wines, all of which merit your serious consideration. Querciabella doesn’t make a big deal about the fact that their vineyards are now biodynamically farmed, but then again they don’t have to?the wines speak for themselves.
