Drink 2024–2040
The 2020 Farvie Syrah is polished and dense, with lashings of fruit and gravel, graphite and Asian five spice. This is remarkably exotic and nuanced, with incense spice, black earth and iron, tea leaves and black olive tapenade. It's a sensational wine in every regard. This is my favorite of the Syrahs so far. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
