Drink: Drink now 2040
Deep crimson. Dark cherry pastille, mulberry, dark plum, chinotto, dark chocolate panforte hint sage aromas. Inky deep wine with lovely pure dark berry fruits, fine supple tannins and well-integrated marzipan, roasted chestnut vanilla oak. Beautifully balanced wine with superb density, volume, and vinosity. Chalky/brambly firm at the finish with abundant dark berry fruits. "Shy and introspective wine showing primary dark berry fruits and distinct savoury new oak. A very big structure with all the elements yet to fully integrate." (ER) 14.5% alc 16 months' maturation in 83% new and 17% seasoned French oak hogsheads.
