Drink 2024–2036
The 2019 Farvie Grenache hails from a cooler season than the 2018 tasted prior, and the wine shows greater detail and delicacy in its fruit detail and weight on the palate. The tannins are a little darker, a little firmer, and the wine on the whole is a little spicier. I like this so much, but I am wedded to the inherent balance and power that the 2018 vintage seemed to exude, seemingly without great effort. This is a beautiful wine that is unfurling slowly, but it offers sensational satisfaction now. Having said that, another 10 years won't hurt it at all. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
