Drink 2024–2036
The 2021 Carrodus Chardonnay is svelte and gently mealy, with tangerine and scratched mandarin skin, white peach, brine and chalky texture driven by plenty of dry extract. This is a restrained and complex wine, one that offers more complexity and nuance than the 2020 tasted next to it. Both are lovely wines, yet this is an elevated example. It is pure and very long. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
