Robert Parker Score: 88 points

Reviewer: Lisa Perrotti-Brown — 21127 Feb 2014

Drink 2014–2020

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz shows a youthfully muted nose of black and red plums, mulberries plus hints of pepper, charcoal, damp earth and sage. The medium to full-bodied palate centers on a decent core of mid-palate fruit structured by medium levels of chewy tannins and lively acid. It finishes long. 5,110 bottles were made. Drink it now to 2020+.

Medium-deep crimson. Chinotto, black cherry, cedar aromas with minty herb garden. Developed chinotto, musky dark cherry pastille fruits, fine slinky al dente tannins and some cedar oak notes. Finishes sinewy/ leafy and long. The plushness has gone, but the density and vigour will allow it to hold for a while. Best to drink soon. 14.5% alc Maturation in 26% new and 74% seasoned French oak hogsheads.
