Drink 2020–2035
An almost 50-50 blend of Margaret River and Mount Barker fruit, the 2017 Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon spent 22 months in 60% new barriques. A faint herbal note (bay leaf?, oregano?) appears on the nose, joining cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, cocoa, cherries and cassis. It's full-bodied, plush, velvety and long on the finish. Blind, I wouldn't be surprised to see this pass for a top-notch Napa Cabernet. It should drink well for another 15 years.
