Robert Parker Score: 86 points
Reviewer: Robert M. Parker, Jr.June, 2001
Howard Park's 1998 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (75%), Cabernet Franc (13%), and Merlot (12%) spent two years in French oak before bottling. It is a firmly-structured, attractive effort offering aromas of cedar, underbrush, black currants, and spice. Medium-bodied and moderately concentrated with firm tannin, it should drink well now and over the next 7-8 years.
