Drink 2022–2032

The 2017 Colleen's Paddock Pinot Noir is bottled in very heavy glass, which feels environmentally on the nose in 2022. The wine inside is earthy, savory and wild, with layers of shaved deli meat, peppercorns, clove bud and even some shiitake broth through the finish. The question is whether the wine has the life and verve I would expect from a mere five years from harvest. The acidity says it does, but the length of flavor through the finish preserves the question. Regardless, this has intrigue and complexity that will please many.
